Advisory Warning to Academic Authors and Researchers
Dear Colleagues,
It has come to our attention that a website operating under researcherway.com is engaging in fraud to deceive academic authors and researchers. This site has attempted to steal the ISSNs of the Journal of Applied Business Research and the Review of Business Information Systems, which are official publications of the Knowledge and Leadership Alliance (KLA).
Please be advised of the following critical information:
- Unauthorized Use of ISSNs: Researcherway.com has made unauthorized attempts to use the ISSNs of the above journals. These journals are exclusively owned and operated by the Knowledge and Leadership Alliance. Any attempts to claim these ISSNs by entities other than KLA are fraudulent and illegal.
- Solicitation of Article Publication Fees: Researcherway.com has collected academic papers from authors under pretenses and solicited payment for article processing charges. The Knowledge and Leadership Alliance will never request any form of payment from authors until after their paper has been reviewed and accepted for publication.
We urge the KLA community to protect yourself and your work by only submitting papers through official channels. To ensure the security of your research, please only submit your papers through our official website or via emails ending in @klalliance.org. Submissions through any other domain are unauthorized and could result in the loss of your intellectual property.
We want to reassure all authors and researchers that your papers and personal data are safe with the Knowledge and Leadership Alliance. We adhere to the highest standards of data protection and ethical publishing practices.
If you have any concerns or if you have been contacted by someone claiming to be associated with KLA but operating from a different domain, please contact us immediately at editorials@klalliance.org.
We appreciate your vigilance and cooperation in this matter. Together, we can ensure the integrity of our academic community.
Sincerely,
Knowledge and Leadership Alliance Team
